**Privacy Notice: Warranty and Vehicle Sales**

**Who we are.** MIDLAND AUTOMOTIVE GROUP LIMITED (company number 13296407), registered office Derwent House, 141-145 Dale Road, Matlock, Derbyshire, England, DE4 3LU. We are the data controller for the personal information described below. **What we collect.** Your name, address, phone number and email; the details of the vehicle you bought (registration, VIN, mileage, sale date and price); your signed acknowledgement of the warranty booklet; and, if you make a claim, details of the fault, repair quotes and invoices, and our correspondence with you and the repairing garage.

**Why we use it, and our legal basis.**

- To provide your warranty and handle claims. This is needed to perform our contract with you.
- To keep records of the sale and warranty, deal with complaints and meet legal and accounting duties. This is a legal obligation and our legitimate interest in running our business.
- To contact you about extended cover. Only if you've asked, or with your consent. You can say no at any time.

**Who we share it with.** Garages and repairers carrying out approved work, only what they need to do the job. Extended warranty providers such as Warrantywise, only if you choose to buy their plan. Our accountants, IT and professional advisers. We don't sell your data.

**How long we keep it.** Sale and warranty records for 6 years after the sale, then we delete them securely. Marketing contact details are kept until you ask us to stop.

**Your rights.** You can ask to see the data we hold, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its use, or have it sent to you in a portable form, and you can withdraw consent at any time. **Complaints.** Contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
